Do your lashes drop while you remove your mascara? Do you sometimes wonder if your waterproof mascara is more drying?

There’s currently no evidence that waterproof mascara is more drying or makes lashes more prone to falling compared to a non-waterproof one. Lashes could fall because you might be handling them too harshly when removing your eye makeup.

Do this:

Pour a small amount of eye makeup remover onto a cotton pad and place it over one eye for about 20 seconds to soften and dissolve the mascara before gently wiping the cotton pad downwards. Do it gently

More tips!

Quit rubbing your eyes! It’s a hard habit to break, but you’ve gotta try. Vigorous rubbing loosens lashes at the roots, not to mention creases the delicate skin around your peepers too!

Curling lashes after mascara application is a NO NO! This increases the chances of yanking out the lashes with the curler.

Resist the temptation to pump the wand up and down to get an even coverage of mascara on it. The pumping action traps air so mascara dries out more quickly. The end result – clumpy lashes and troublesome removal later.

Different women have got different beauty routines, if you ask any woman, I’m sure if they’re entirely honest, they will tell you that they’re not happy with at least one part of their body. Women are generally VAINPOTS, it seems the word VAIN is not exaggerated at all. We’re born like that, and most of us actually love to be vain!

Some people cannot leave the house without their makeup, it’s as if they feel naked without their makeup. Men simply haven’t got a clue why and i think even if they try to, they’ll never really understand, well, i dont’ blame them, coz i never understand why most men just go into a shop and pay 50bucks for a shirt without shopping around for a cheaper alternative! That’s just controversial I suppose, and a good debate could take centuries between the two sexes.

I for one, am always trying to improve those visible imperfections. It’s kinda like my hobby, or rather a ritual that I love to do, HAVE to do everyday. Today, i’m embarrassed to admit that my love for beautiful eyebrows have turned into an irreversible and potentially dangerous obsession, I now cannot leave home without shaping and colouring my eyebrows.

Potentially dangerous because when you’re trying to get the eyebrows perfect, there is a danger that you tweeze too much and the damage can be irreversible.

I’ve recently purchased an eyebrow kit which seems to be just what I need, to at least control the amount I tweeze off and also to minimize the time i spent in front of the mirror, concentrating on hand pressure and finger strokes to draw the perfect arch. Everyday is a challenge. THE BIG CHALLENGE of trying to get two brows equal and balanced.

If you’re like me, obsessed or even if you just want to try to tidy the brows a little bit, the brow kit is fantastic. It’s basically the stencil that really works. It’s fast and hasslefree and this can be purchased from any neighbourhood chemist or beautystore.

Alternatively, you could get a trimmer, it works like a mini shaver, it’s entirely painfree, doesn’t seem like it, but yes, you couldn’t feel a pinch. Very easy to use and you won’t be PLUCKING it off. Downside of it, not very precise, but nonetheless neat and quick. If you are in the UK, try ARGOS, they do a few good trimmers that are excellent value.

So the perfect arch may be really difficult to achieve at home, but some professional products could help. I never waxed my brows for some reason i dont’ know!

Occasionally, the best thing I would do is to treat myself to a beauty salon and get my eyebrows done.

If you’ve any brow disasters or tips to share, do send your stories over and I’ll publish them here and yes, please tell me there is nothing wrong with being obsessed with them, right??? @_@
