Do your lashes drop while you remove your mascara? Do you sometimes wonder if your waterproof mascara is more drying?
There’s currently no evidence that waterproof mascara is more drying or makes lashes more prone to falling compared to a non-waterproof one. Lashes could fall because you might be handling them too harshly when removing your eye makeup.
Do this:
Pour a small amount of eye makeup remover onto a cotton pad and place it over one eye for about 20 seconds to soften and dissolve the mascara before gently wiping the cotton pad downwards. Do it gently
More tips!
Quit rubbing your eyes! It’s a hard habit to break, but you’ve gotta try. Vigorous rubbing loosens lashes at the roots, not to mention creases the delicate skin around your peepers too!
Curling lashes after mascara application is a NO NO! This increases the chances of yanking out the lashes with the curler.
Resist the temptation to pump the wand up and down to get an even coverage of mascara on it. The pumping action traps air so mascara dries out more quickly. The end result – clumpy lashes and troublesome removal later.
