The rivalry between two managers in the Premiership has begun – Manchester United will play Arsenal this coming weekend, and it is no doubt that the two teams are at the top of the Premiership table with the same points and goal difference. The only thing that separates them on the table is that Arsenal has an extra game on hand.
Over the last weekend, Manchester United scored the fourth 4 goals in successive games, equalling records back in 1907. The partnership between Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez has demonstrated their great understanding between each other, suggesting that these two players could ultimately strike fear into the heart of opponents’ defence. At the wings, previously ruled by Ryan Giggs, produced two skilful and trickery Portuguese wingers – a well-established Cristiano Ronaldo and a rising star, Nani. As the game had shown, Nani striked in a thunderbolt from the left, right into Middlesbrough’s net just three minutes into the game. The midfield has no lack of world-class players, even with Paul Scholes being injured. Owen Hargreaves has managed to return from injury to control the midfield play, an efficient motivator. The back four are just as brilliant and kept the defence water-tight. With Manchester United hitting top form, it is likely to be a real challenge towards the Premiership leader this coming weekend.
After 10 games, Arsene Wenger has now addressed to the public that his team is capable of challenging for the title. Little did he knew that even with Thierry Henry leaving, the young team is beginning to gel together, forming a formidable attacking team, stronger than before. Robin van Persie may be out, but the team is playing attacking football, the same idea Arsene Wenger just has in mind. Most outstanding is probably Fabregas, running the midfield play, as it has shown during the last game, Arsenal managed to steal a draw from Liverpool with Fabregas running the show.
Until then, the next five days will likely see the words of wars between two top managers in the Premiership. Arsene Wenger has just started the ball rolling by insisting that his team is capable for the title challenge. The next reply is highly expected – Sir Alex Ferguson is not likely to let his opponent enjoy playing words. Well, simply check out the newspapers for the next couple of days, and see the exciting build-up towards the match day.
